Oh Kittybass, my heart goes out to you, DH and Inkaboo. I can't imagine how you must be feeling, what a horrendous time for you. Just give Inkadoo as much love as you can, and know the right time, that's the best you can do.

Kitty Bass...my heart goes out to you.....you have to know all our prayers are with you to help you be strong.....it's hard to say...but now you have to love Inkadoo more than "so much".....love him enough to let him go in peace and be free of pain. I know it's breaking your heart....we have all been there, some so many times....it's the life of animal lovers around the world.

Yes, it's the life of an animal lover..... we set ourselves up for this heartache everytime we bring a new baby into our lives. But we still do it knowing the day will come when we must say good-bye because we love them so much.......

Bast be with you kittybass. And please know I am thinking about you every minute of the day....I really am. I run here as soon as I get home to see if Inkaboo is doing better.....or worse. We love you sweetie, and sense your not alone.

I just got back home tonight..I didn't have much time to post during my stay in the U.S...Inkadoo had a few hospital stays and the vet was pressuring D.H. to euthanize him. I got daily reports and D.H. told me a few days ago that Inkadoo had lost a lot of weight but was eating and drinking a bit. He hasn't been on an I.V. for about a week and D.H. had a hard time deciding what to do. He wanted to bring him to the hospital again but he was afraid that the vet would put more pressure on him.

Well I can't say I have the old Inkadoo back but he seems like he's hanging tough. He has lost a bit of weight but he was so happy to see me today. As soon as I walked in the door he came right up to me and wouldn't let me out of his sight. It looks like he has managed to stay strong for me at least while I was away. I think I will probably have a few more weeks with him before I have to say goodbye. All I know is that I'm going to love that cat with all my might for as long as I can. My birthday is in about 2 weeks and DH is going to buy me my b-day present early, which is a new camera so at least I can take some photos with him before he is too sick.

I've had a really rough time over the last several weeks and I'm so glad that I had Inky here to greet me when I came home. I know nothing can stop what's happening but if I can have a bit more time with him I would be happy with that.

I'm so glad he hung in there to welcome his mommy home. As long as he's eating and drinking and not in undue pain it's ok. Enjoy every second you have with him.

I don't think I'm going to have much more time with him. He looks awful today and he feels cold. I know he hung in there while I was away like I asked him to. He is not eating at all today. I know he will let me know when it's 'time' and I think that time will be soon. I had wanted to take some photos so I would have some happy memories but he looks too sick for that. Crying or Very sad

Poor baby, it sounds like it's all getting a bit much for the old soul. You'll know what to do when...he'll let you know.

It's good that you're back home and that your little guy hung in there for you. Sending you strength.

It's so sad, but I knew this time would come. It looks like he's got a runny nose also, I know his immune system is weak. Dh and I talked about it a bit today and if it's possible I will spend the weekend with him and then I will have to say goodbye . DH had been putting Inkadoo on the phone for me during the time I was away and I told him every day what a good boy he was. DH sincerely thought Inkadoo would be ok for a while longer because he was doing pretty good over the 10 days I was away.

I am so heartbroken, the past few weeks have been a nightmare with all that's happened. Inkadoo kept his promise to me and I realize that I have to keep my promise to him and let him go but I'm having a really hard time. I only saw my father in a coffin not even a week ago. I wish I didn't have to be surrounded by so much sorrow and death.

I couldn't find him all night until now..he drank some water and peed a little bit in the litter box, but he is having some difficulty walking. He gets stressed out around the other cats so I put him in here with just me. He still has a lot of spirit despite his declining health.

He has a content look on his face now that he's got peace and quiet. I think he even looks a bit playful..not that he's able to play, but he has a sweet look on his face. I guess he's just happy to be spending some time with me. I'm talking to him and singing his favorite song and his ears just perked up, I'm finding it so hard not to cry just looking at him like that, but I will keep telling him what a good boy and how handsome he is.

DH is taking me to buy my birthday camera tomorrow but I'm not sure I want to take pictures of him like that. He isn't exactly near death, but he doesn't look good, but I haven't taken any photos of him or any of the cats in at least 6 months because my old camera doesn't work. After he crosses the bridge I want to make a video so I can remember all the good times me, DH and all the cats had with him.
